I chose Comfort Inn for its location and closeness to my purpose for a 24 flying to Townsville. I had to change my dates and one of the staff was excellent in her help and following-up. The price was fantastic and the staff were so helpful with many of my colleagues who stayed at this property. – John

Pros: Laundry facility, close to bus, shopping & restaurants. Very reasonably priced. In room fridge, kettle, toaster, plate & cutlery. Public BBQ
Cons: More in lobby & in room area information, also In room on site restaurant menu.
Location: A little away from the beach, but only a few blocks to bus or any shopping
My wife & I made good use of the in room fridge & kettle every day. We love walking, so nothing in Townsville was far away for us, including the complete return walk to the end of the “The Strand” which was at least a 6km return journey. – kevin from salmon Arm,BC

Comfortable & clean…

Spacious room offering all things necessary for a comfortable stay.
The motel is old but has been well maintained.
There is a small bar on site along with a restaurant if you don’t want to venture out.
Very close to the city centre and an easy walk.
There is an incline to the motel which may not suit if you have mobility problems.
The motel provides upstairs and downstairs units…….no lift and no views.
Very pleasant reception and we thought value for what we paid ($85) and would stay again. – Lyrebird6, Australia

Perfect Spot for Us

We chose Robert Towns for the great location, and the fact that they were pet-friendly and didn’t want to slug with an extra charge for our dog. Hard up against the base of Castle Hill, the location is great and walking distance to The Strand and North Ward.
The room was great, much better than I expected and not ‘stripped out’ for a dog-friendly room. If our room was anything to go by, I’d recommend Robert Towns to anyone and we’d definitely stay here again next time we are in the ‘ville, with dog or not – Rolland_Buttar, Australia
